How to Find Scholarships for Students with Disabilities

Applicants must be enrolled as a full time in an undergraduate school freshman or greater status or be enrolled part time or full time in a graduate school, and have a documented disability and provide documentation of their disability.

Applicants who have not yet graduated from high school will not be considered.

Applicant must be a US citizen or legal resident living in the US and enrolled in an accredited United States university. Preference will be given to students majoring in public health, disability studies, disability research, health promotion or a field related to disability and health.

She was the director of Services for the Blind and Disabled at the Texas State Library and founded the Texas Talking Book program. Applications are reviewed during the spring semester. Scholarship is awarded in the fall semester.

Sertoma Scholarship for Deaf or Hard of Hearing Student Students with clinically significant bilateral hearing loss, graduating from high school, or undergraduate students pursuing four-year college degrees in any discipline are eligible for the scholarship. This scholarships is for persons with schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder who are currently receiving medical treatment for the illness, including medications and psychiatric follow-up and must be actively involved in rehabilitative or reintegrative efforts, such as clubhouse membership, part-time work, volunteer efforts or school enrollment or in competitive employment.
