Hybrid Waratahs Hybrid waratahs have proven to be hardier and more reliable than the Sydney waratah. Plants have multiple flowers rather than a single flowering stem. All you need is a well drained position with some shade and protected from westerly sun and wind. Mulch them well and water regularly during the warmer months. Several hybrids flower in both autumn and spring giving double the pleasure.

Shady Lady Collection Best known of all the waratah hybrid sthe Shady Lady collection is grown and marketed by Proteaflora in Melbourne. There are five colour forms but the pink form is often not available. Plants are sold in mm pots and special growing instructions are sent with all sales. They will be available in early March.
